About Sarasota Epoxy Flooring Pros
Sarasota Epoxy Flooring Pros coats concrete with resin systems across Sarasota and its neighboring communities. Garage floors make up most of our calendar, but we also coat lanais, patios, pool decks, home gyms, workshops, storage rooms and commercial floors. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, decorative flake and metallic systems, and the choice among them waits until your slab has been inspected and tested.
There is a reason for that habit: Sarasota wears floors down in its own way. Summers run hot and muggy, rain falls on more than a hundred days a year, and plenty of homes sit near Sarasota Bay or out on the keys. Afternoon sun streaming past a raised garage door will yellow a topcoat that was never made for UV. Moisture working up through an aging slab can lift a coating off from below. A coat laid down while the dew point sits near the slab temperature may cure hazy or soft. None of that is visible the day the job wraps up, so we account for it before the first coat.
How a job runs
- We come out to the property. We measure, check the slab's age and surface, mark stains, old paint or sealer, cracks and low spots, and find out what the room is used for.
- We test the slab. The moisture number decides between a regular primer and a moisture-tolerant base coat.
- You get it in writing. Your quote lists which system we will use, how many coats, what prep is involved, any crack repair and the total. If something new turns up once grinding starts, we talk to you before going further.
- We grind, not just wash. A diamond grinder roughens the slab so the first coat has something to grab. Cracks, chips and joints get repaired before resin goes down.
- We watch the weather. When the air is heavy, we read the dew point against the air and slab temperatures and shift coat times to suit.
- We tell you when to use it. Before we leave, you have a time for foot traffic, a time for putting belongings back and a time for the car.
Lines we hold
We do not price a floor off a photo, coat a slab we have not tested, or skip grinding to finish a day early. Nor will we talk you into a premium system you do not need. A spare-room floor that never sees sunlight does not need the same topcoat as a west-facing garage on Siesta Key.
